• Get help with your instrument at meetings and jams, or with a private instructor.

• Find a friend to jam with—playing with a friend(s) is better than playing alone; you will be challenged and expedite your learning curve.

• Attend regular jams.  Playing in a group helps you with timing and confidence.

• Find new opportunities to perform for others.

• Meet people who have a shared interest in traditional music.

GPDA’s main focus is the hammered dulcimer and mountain dulcimer, but we welcome other traditional instruments as well. There are numerous other traditional instruments represented among our members, including:
